Hi, I’m Jo-Roxy

I am an accredited Mental Health Social Worker (Masters of Social Work) with additional qualifications in counselling. I have worked as a counsellor in domestic and family violence services, worked in homelessness, mental health and with young-adults experiencing intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Over my career I have specialised in working with adults who are survivors of domestic and family violence, sexual violence, complex trauma and adverse childhood experiences. I am passionate about helping my clients understand how trauma and stress can impact their lives so that they can develop strategies to heal and recover.

I offer both trauma-focused and generalist counselling and strive to be inclusive in my work — welcoming all cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, genders, physical and intellectual abilities.

I am a Victims Services Approved Counsellor and am registered with Medicare, providing rebates for clients with Mental Health Care plans.
