I am a Social Worker (Masters of Social Work) with additional qualifications in counselling. I have worked as a counsellor at a non-for-profit domestic and family violence service, worked in homelessness, mental health and with young-adults experiencing intellectual and developmental disabilities. Over my career I have specialised in working with adults who are survivors of domestic and family violence, sexual violence, complex trauma, and adverse childhood experiences. I am passionate about helping my clients understand how trauma and stress can impact their lives so that they can develop strategies to heal and recover.
I offer both trauma-focused and generalist counselling and strive to be inclusive in my work - welcoming all cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, genders, physical and intellectual abilities.
I am a Victims Services Approved Counsellor.
I acknowledges the Bidjigal, Birrabirragal and Gadigal people, who traditionally occupied the Eora Coast and the land on which I live and work. I acknowledge all elders past and present and extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. I recognise the trauma of colonisation and its continued impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
